From the moment I arrived at Hotel Boulderado to take getting-ready photos with the ladies, to the very energetic dance party at the end of the reception, this day was a pure joy. They opted to do a first look before the ceremony so they could get lots of portraits, and enjoy their whole day together.
Not only was the ceremony at my favorite location: the Sunrise Amphitheater in Boulder, but their whole wedding timeline was in my favor! They gave me 2+ hours before the ceremony for a first look, formals, and bride & groom portraits. They also asked me choose the first look spot. That's a lot of pressure, but with a little hiking in Chautauqua park, I found exactly what Brittany wanted - a gorgeous meadow with wild flowers. They were both so easy-going and seemed to have fun during every part of their day. That's what it's all about!
They played "Concerning Hobbits" as Brittany walked down the aisle - I mean COME'ON. I DIED!! Best ceremony song ever. (I would have loved to have a Lord of the Rings themed wedding, but my husband was not on board).
Brittany and Ryan also self-officiated the ceremony, which was really unique. Then we headed to Hotel Boulderado to finish off the night with a relaxed reception full of super-delish hor d'oeuvres and great dancing.
Hotel Boulderado is a very historic hotel, so I was unsure how photo-friendly it would be (lighting). I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed the moody vibe on the mezzanine.
I'm very honored to have this wedding featured on Mile High Bride!
